BI & DWH Architect

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead enterprise business intelligence projects from inception through design & delivery to successful implementation. Your broad responsibilities include, working with diverse customer groups transforming the requirements into architecture and design documents, developing project timelines & estimates, providing development best practices guidance, programming core functionality, and managing customer expectations by balancing resources, scope, and timelines without affecting quality. The ideal candidate will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent NBD within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather and evaluate end-user and business owner functional and technical requirements
  • Evaluation of reporting environments to meet the functional requirements
  • Develop conceptual and logical data models
  • Develop mapping of data sources

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS NEEDED:

Job Description

This position is part of the Data Platform Team which supports development of enterprise business intelligence applications/projects. The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for development and code specifications, data/process analysis, data validation, quality assurance/testing and application/reports development and support. This position requires collaboration and team work in the Data Platform Team, in order to support the projects’ objective.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Two years of experience in business application consulting or development, preferable banking
  • Strong Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle SQL programming skills
  • Working with a data warehouse/data marts environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with software tools to develop and maintain enterprise solutions using Microsoft tools (Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS), Power BI, Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS)) and Oracle tools (Oracle DB, ODI, OBIEE, OAS) as well.
  • Work with analysts and developers in mixed teams
  • Develop and monitor "on demand" or "ad hoc" reports and dashboards the above technologies
  • Interact with client resources and other associates to understand business requirements and needs
  • Interpret system documentation and technical specifications

Technical skills and requirements:
